Unit Head – Spinning Mill
Location: Kadi (Gujarat)
Experience: 15+ Years

We are looking for The Unit Head for a Spinning Mill who oversees all daily mill operations, production targets, and P&L; performance. This executive role requires 15+ years of experience to maximize yarn output, optimize machine efficiency (OEE), minimize waste, and lead plant management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Operational Excellence

- Direct all mill operations from raw cotton/fiber intake to finished yarn dispatch.
- Set and execute daily grams-per-spindle and yield targets.
- Drive continuous productivity improvements, lean manufacturing, and optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across blowroom, carding, and spinning.

2. Quality Assurance & Standards

- Ensure yarn quality meets parameters (e.g., Uster statistics and ISO standards) to minimize customer complaints and returns.
- Manage bale mixing and process controls to maintain count-wise consistency.

3. Cost Control & P&L; Management

- Manage mill operational budgets, controlling Operating Expenses (OPEX) like labor and power.
- Propose Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) for new technology.
- Monitor yarn realization rates to reduce waste and optimize conversion costs.

4. Maintenance & Engineering





- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize costly machine breakdowns.
- Ensure optimal energy usage and mechanical reliability across all mill machinery.

5. Compliance, Safety & Team Leadership

- Enforce EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) policies across the plant floor.
- Lead compliance for local labor laws, audits, and Quality Management Systems.
- Mentor department heads (Production, Quality, HR, and Engineering) and drive a culture of performance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Education: Degree in Textile Technology or Textile Engineering.
- Experience: 15 to 20+ years of progressive plant management experience in a textile or spinning industry.
- Skills: Strong P&L; management, Root Cause Analysis, technical mastery of spinning machinery (HVI, Uster, Auto-coners), and excellent Industrial Relations (IR) skills.
