ETP Operator (Effluent Treatment Plant)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a responsible and experienced ETP Operator to operate and maintain the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The candidate will monitor plant operations, maintain treatment parameters, perform routine maintenance, and ensure protected handling of chemicals and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
- Monitor process parameters such as pH, TDS, COD, BOD, MLSS, and flow rate.
- Prepare and dose treatment chemicals as per SOP.
- Operate pumps, blowers, agitators, filters, clarifiers, and sludge handling systems.
- Collect water samples and coordinate laboratory testing.
- Maintain daily log books, shift reports, and operational records.
- Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance of ETP equipment.
- Identify and report equipment failures and process abnormalities.
- Ensure treated water meets Pollution Control Board norms.
- Handle sludge dewatering and disposal as per environmental guidelines.
- Maintain housekeeping,



PPE compliance, and workplace safety.
- Support statutory inspections, audits, and environmental documentation.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance, Production, and EHS departments for smooth plant operation.

Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in ETP/STP/WTP operations
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and chemical dosing.
- Basic understanding of pumps, motors, valves, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with Pollution Control Board regulations and safety practices.
