Overview

We are bringing all system-development work in-house and need an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to take over responsibility from our external agency.

You will be responsible for maintaining, improving and developing all internal systems, including our CRM platform, multiple company websites and bespoke portal system.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing the full handover process from our external agency to an in-house setup, taking complete technical ownership of all current systems and ensuring a smooth transition.

This is a fully remote position based in India. You will work closely with our UK-based management and operations teams and must be available during UK business hours.

You will also have the opportunity to recruit, lead and mentor a Junior Developer as the in-house development team grows.

Key Responsibilities

- Take over all development and maintenance responsibilities from the current external agency.
- Manage the full handover and migration of systems, hosting environments, databases and codebases.
- Review the existing technical setup and identify any security, performance or reliability concerns.
- Maintain and develop our CRM system using legacy Laravel, Vue 2, Bootstrap and MySQL.
- Manage and update all company websites, including WordPress and Laravel-based websites.
- Maintain and develop our bespoke portal system using modern Laravel, Livewire, Tailwind CSS and MySQL.
- Take ownership of existing APIs and third-party integrations.
- Maintain and develop payment integrations, including Stripe, Barclaycard and Barclaycard MOTO.
- Maintain integrations with Mailgun API and getAddress.io API.
- Oversee the migration of hosting currently managed through Plesk to a suitable and secure environment.
- Manage domains, SSL certificates, server configurations, databases and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve system errors quickly.
- Deliver ongoing system updates, improvements and new features.
- Work with internal teams to identify opportunities for automation and improved operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation for all systems, processes and integrations.
- Manage Git repositories, version control, deployment procedures and development workflows.
- Ensure appropriate backups, recovery processes and security controls are maintained.
- Monitor system performance, availability and technical risks.
- Provide regular progress updates to UK management.
- Lead and mentor a Junior Developer once appointed.

Required Skills and Experience

- Strong commercial experience with both legacy and modern Laravel applications.




- Strong PHP and object-oriented programming knowledge.
- Experience with Vue.js, particularly Vue 2.
- Strong experience with Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS and Livewire.
- Strong MySQL database-development and administration skills.
- Excellent JavaScript, HTML and CSS knowledge.
- Experience maintaining and developing WordPress websites.
- Experience managing and migrating hosting environments such as Plesk, cPanel or similar platforms.
- Experience managing Linux-based web servers.
- Experience working with payment gateways and APIs.
- Familiarity with Stripe, Barclaycard, Mailgun and address-lookup integrations.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, system integrations, data flows and automation.
- Experience with Git and structured version-control workflows.
- Understanding of application security, access control, database security and data protection.
- Experience creating and maintaining system backups and recovery procedures.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems independently.
- Ability to take full ownership of existing systems and technical projects.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage your own workload effectively while working remotely.
- Reliable computer equipment and a stable high-speed internet connection.
- Availability to work UK business hours.

Working Hours

You will be required to work during standard UK business hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm UK time

This will normally be:

- 1:30pm–9:30pm IST while the UK is observing British Summer Time.
- 2:30pm–10:30pm IST while the UK is observing Greenwich Mean Time.

You must be comfortable with the seasonal one-hour adjustment to your working hours.
