A senior staff nurse is an advanced clinical and supervisory role responsible for ward management, mentoring junior staff, and delivering high-standard patient care. Core duties include coordinating shift assignments, supervising clinical procedures, and acting as a liaison between nurses and medical doctors.

Key Responsibilities

- Clinical Care: Monitor complex patient vitals, administer advanced treatments, and manage critical care interventions.
- Ward Management: Assign daily duties to junior nurses, manage inventory or medicine supplies, and deputize for the charge nurse or ward sister when absent.
- Leadership and Training: Train newly joined nurses, guide nursing students during clinical placements, and enforce safety and infection control protocols.
- Communication:



Coordinate treatment plans directly with physicians and counsel patients or family members regarding recovery processes.

Requirements and Qualifications

- Education: Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing).
- Registration: Active registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant State Nursing Council.
- Experience: Generally requires 2+ years of active clinical experience as a staff nurse.

Pay: ₹21,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
