Head of Finance

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to lead the company's financial planning, accounting, compliance, taxation, cash flow management, and business finance functions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving financial discipline, supporting business growth, improving profitability, and partnering with leadership on strategic decision-making.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Strategy

- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Provide actionable insights on revenue growth, profitability, and cost optimization.
- Partner with leadership teams on strategic business initiatives and expansion plans.

Accounting & Financial Operations

- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
- Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closures.
- Review and finalize financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
- Establish and strengthen financial controls and governance frameworks.

Compliance & Taxation

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC filings, and all statutory requirements.
- Manage internal and external audits.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure adherence to Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and financial regulations.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
- Optimize receivables, payables, and cash utilization.




- Drive financial efficiency and reduce operational leakages.

Business Finance & Analytics

- Build financial models and perform scenario planning.
- Track key business metrics, unit economics, and profitability indicators.
- Support leadership with data-driven decision-making.
- Prepare board presentations and investor reports.

Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
- Establish scalable finance processes to support organizational growth.
- Drive a culture of accountability, compliance, and operational excellence.

Desired Candidate

ProfileQualifications

- MBA Finance would be an added advantage.
- 10+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A;, and Compliance.
- Experience in SaaS, Technology, Fintech, Marketplace, or high-growth startups preferred.

Skills & Expertise

- Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
- Expertise in GST, Direct Taxation, TDS, and Statutory Compliance.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, financial automation tools, and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

- Experience managing investor reporting and fundraising support.
- Exposure to SaaS revenue recognition, ARR/MRR tracking, and subscription business models.
- Experience scaling finance operations in a high-growth company.
