Job Summary

The Forklift Driver is responsible for the secure and efficient movement of raw materials, forged components, dies, finished goods, and other materials within the plant premises. The role requires adherence to safety procedures, proper handling of heavy loads, and ensuring timely material supply to production lines without damaging products or equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate forklift safely to transport raw materials, forged components, dies, pallets, and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage racks.
- Supply raw materials to production as per production requirements.
- Shift finished goods from production to warehouse or dispatch area.
- Stack and arrange materials safely in designated storage locations.
- Perform pre-start inspection of the forklift before every shift.
- Report any mechanical defects or maintenance requirements immediately.
- Follow plant traffic rules and speed limits within the factory.
- Ensure safe handling of heavy materials without causing damage.
- Maintain cleanliness of the forklift and assigned work area.




- Assist Stores and Dispatch teams during loading and unloading activities.
- Support physical material movement whenever required.
- Maintain daily forklift logbook and inspection checklist.
- Comply with all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and 5S practices.

Required Skills

- Valid Forklift Driving License/Authorization.
- Experience operating diesel/electric forklifts (2–5 Ton preferred).
- Good knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling.
- Ability to identify load capacity and center of gravity.
- Basic understanding of preventive maintenance checks.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in Forging, Steel, Automobile, Engineering, or Heavy Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience handling heavy forged components, steel bars, dies, billets, and pallets.
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP material movement (preferred but not mandatory).

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
