Job Description

Role Overview

A Plastic Surgeon is a highly specialized medical professional who performs surgical and non-surgical procedures to enhance or restore the appearance and function of body tissues. This includes cosmetic enhancements and reconstructive surgeries for trauma, congenital anomalies, or disease-related deformities.

️ Key Responsibilities

- Patient Consultation: Assess medical history, discuss goals, and explain surgical options and risks.
- Surgical Procedures: Perform operations such as rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, liposuction, facelifts, and reconstructive surgeries (e.g., cleft lip repair, burn treatment).
- Non-Surgical Treatments: Administer Botox, fillers, chemical peels, and laser therapies.
- Post-Operative Care: Monitor recovery, manage complications, and provide rehabilitation guidance.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records for legal, clinical, and research purposes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with anesthesiologists, nurses,



and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care.

Education

MBBS followed by MS/MD in General Surgery and MCh/DNB in Plastic Surgery

Licensing

Valid medical license and board certification in plastic surgery

Experience

Residency and fellowship in plastic or reconstructive surgery

Skills

Precision, empathy, aesthetic judgment, and solid communication

Specializations

- Cosmetic Surgery: Focused on enhancing appearance (e.g., body contouring, facial rejuvenation)
- Reconstructive Surgery: Restores function and form after trauma, burns, or congenital defects
- Hand Surgery: Repair of tendons, nerves, and bones in the hand and wrist
- Craniofacial Surgery: Correction of skull and facial deformities
