Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated South Indian Cook to prepare authentic, hygienic, and nutritious South Indian meals for a hostel mess. The ideal candidate should have expertise in preparing a variety of South Indian breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack items while maintaining high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare authentic South Indian dishes such as Idli, Dosa, Uttapam, Vada, Pongal, Upma, Sambar, Rasam, Chutneys, Lemon Rice, Curd Rice, Tamarind Rice, and other regional specialties.
- Plan and prepare daily meals for hostel residents as per the approved menu.
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of food.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen in accordance with food safety standards.
- Monitor food stock, ingredients, and kitchen supplies, and report shortages when required.




- Minimize food wastage and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
- Follow safety procedures while handling kitchen equipment and cooking appliances.
- Coordinate with the mess management team to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Maintain proper storage of raw materials and cooked food.

Eligibility Criteria

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a South Indian Cook in a hostel, canteen, restaurant, hotel, or institutional kitchen.
- Expertise in preparing authentic South Indian cuisine in large quantities.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically fit and willing to work adaptable shifts, if required.

Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
