Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a reputed Manufacturing Unit in Jalpaiguri. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, GST compliance, financial reporting, and Tally ERP. Candidates with prior experience in the manufacturing industry and the willingness to stay on the factory premises will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain complete books of accounts using Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
- Record journal entries, adjustment entries, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Manage purchase, sales, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports.
- Handle GST compliance, return filing, input tax credit reconciliation, and statutory documentation.
- Coordinate with government departments regarding GST, taxation, and other financial matters.
- Ensure timely statutory compliance and maintain accounting accuracy.
- Assist in monthly and annual closing of accounts.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documents and reports.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and inventory accounting.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) is mandatory.
- M.Com, CA Inter, CMA Inter,



or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience.
- Experience in a Manufacturing Industry is highly preferred.
- Candidates with factory accounting experience will be given preference.

Required Skills

- Solid proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
- Excellent knowledge of GST, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.).
- Experience in bank reconciliation, journal entries, and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Candidate

- Experience in manufacturing accounts and factory operations.
- Willingness to stay on the factory premises (preferred).
- Ability to handle statutory compliance independently.
