Position: Staff Nurse – NICU
Department: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Batra Heart & Multispeciality Hospital
Experience Required: Minimum2–5 years NICU experience
Qualification: GNM / B.Sc Nursing with valid Nursing Council Registration

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse with NICU experience to provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill newborns. The candidate should be proficient in neonatal care protocols, emergency handling and family communication.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates in NICU as per hospital & NABH standards.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, and developmental parameters.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, TPN, phototherapy, and other neonatal treatments.
- Perform routine procedures: NG tube insertion, IV cannulation, blood sampling, ETT care, CPAP handling, etc.
- Assist neonatologist during rounds, deliveries, resuscitation, and emergency situations.
- Maintain strict infection control & hand hygiene protocols.
- Prepare neonates for diagnostic tests (X-ray, USG, labs, etc.).
- Maintain accurate nursing notes, shift handover, and electronic/paper documentation.
- Provide breastfeeding support and educate parents regarding newborn care.




- Ensure upkeep of NICU equipment (warmer, ventilator, CPAP, monitors, syringe pumps).
- Participate in Code Blue/Code Pink and follow emergency response procedures.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for smooth workflow.
