A Packaging Supervisor in the furniture industry oversees the final stages of manufacturing; ensuring furniture is securely packed, labeled, and prepared for dispatch. They manage floor staff, enforce quality control to prevent transit damage, and coordinate logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries. Core Responsibilities

- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished furniture for defects, scratches, or missing hardware before packaging. Ensure all pieces are properly cleaned and wrapped with protective materials (e.g., edge guards, bubble wrap, corner protectors
- Packaging Compliance: Verify that items are boxed according to exact product specifications. Ensure hardware packs, assembly instructions, and fragile warnings are included
- Team Leadership: Supervise the daily operations of the packing team. Handle shift scheduling, workforce management, and staff training regarding proper packing techniques.
- Inventory & Supplies: Monitor packaging materials (cartons, tape, shrink wrap, wood crates) and request inventory replenishments to avoid supply shortages
- Logistics & Dispatch: Coordinate with warehouse and dispatch teams to load trucks safely.



Ensure weight limits, dimension requirements, and labeling (barcodes, PO numbers) are accurate for supply chain tracking.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, hazard-free shop floor. Ensure the team follows strict safety protocols and uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Key Requirements & Qualifications

- Experience: Typically requires above 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or furniture production
- Skills: Strong understanding of logistics, packaging materials, and freight damage prevention. Basic proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy packages, and occasionally bend or maneuver large, bulky furniture items.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 per month
