Dispatch Supervisor

Job Summary

A Dispatch Supervisor manages dispatch staff and coordinates schedules, routes, deliveries, pickups, or service calls to ensure effective operations. They monitor communication between drivers, customers, and operations teams while maintaining safety, productivity, and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and support dispatchers and drivers/operators
- Plan and assign delivery or service routes
- Monitor vehicle movement and delivery schedules
- Ensure timely dispatch of vehicles, staff, or equipment
- Handle customer complaints and service issues
- Maintain communication with drivers and field teams
- Track fuel usage, delays, and operational efficiency
- Prepare dispatch reports and performance records
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations




- Train new dispatch staff and evaluate team performance
- Coordinate emergency responses or schedule changes when needed

Required Skills

- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of routing and scheduling systems
- Computer proficiency (Excel, dispatch software, GPS systems)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Time management and organizational skills
