We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tracking & Customs Clearance Coordinator to join our Calgary-based logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring cross-border shipments between Canada and the USA, ensuring timely updates, and coordinating all customs clearance processes to avoid delays. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Track and monitor shipments moving between Canada and the United States in real-time
Communicate with drivers, carriers, brokers, and customers regarding load status
Coordinate customs clearance documentation for cross-border shipments
Ensure all paperwork (commercial invoices, BOLs, ACE/ACI filings, etc.) is accurate and submitted on time
Resolve any delays or issues related to customs or transit
Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems
Provide timely updates and reports to customers and management
Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to ensure smooth freight movement
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding,
or customs coordination preferred
Knowledge of cross-border shipping regulations (Canada/USA)
Familiarity with customs documentation and clearance procedures
Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to multitask and work in a rapid-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software/TMS systems
Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
Preferred Experience:
Experience handling US customs (ACE) and Canadian customs (ACI) filings
Background in trucking or freight brokerage industry
