SQL Server 2012/2016/2017 Database Administration Database Installation/Configuration/Migration(Standalone/Cluster/Always ON) Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances. Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies. Perform regular backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and tested.
- Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On, Log Shipping, Replication, Clustering).
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. Implement and maintain database security (roles, permissions, encryption).
- Automate routine tasks using scripts and tools (e.g., PowerShell, T-SQL).
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application needs.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in audits and compliance reviews as needed. Provide 24/7 support for production database environments, including on-call rotation.
- DB Upgrade and VA closure User and security Management DB Backup,recovery and Performance Tuning Log shipping setup/Replication Troubleshooting S1/S2 incidents
- DC-DR Drills via log shipping Coordination with Application teams and stakeholders
- Willing to work in shifts Good client management & communication skills
- Ability to work in a rotational shift and handle on-call responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and incident management.
Good-to-Have
- Certification in MSSQL Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment.
- Robust knowledge of SQL Server 2008/2008R2/2014/2016/2019/2022 and related tools (SSMS, SSRS, SSIS).
- Proficiency in T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with SQL patching, vulnerability scanning, and remediation.
- Good to have prior knowledge of Oracle basics
