We are looking for detail-oriented Sea Export Import Documentation Executive to manage the generation, verification, and filing of all international shipping paperwork. In this role, you will ensure 100% accuracy in shipping instructions and regulatory filings to ensure smooth customs clearance and cargo release.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Issuance: Prepare and execute critical logistics documents including Bill of Lading drafts (MBL/HBL), Air Waybills (MAWB/HAWB), Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists.
- Data Verification: Thoroughly cross-check all customer-provided data against manifest details to eliminate clerical errors before final submission to carriers.
- Filing & Compliance: Submit accurate Manifests (IGM/EGM) and shipping instructions to shipping lines and airlines within strict cut-off times.
- Customs Coordination:
Cross-verify documentation accuracy to assist the customs clearance team, minimizing the risk of customs holds or ICEGATE errors.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Promptly identify and resolve any documentation errors, amendments, or weight discrepancies with clients and port agents.
- Archiving: Maintain organized, up-to-date digital and physical records of all shipment files for audit compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a core documentation role within Indian freight forwarding or CHA sectors.
- Excellent data entry speed and deep familiarity with ocean/air export-import shipping terms.
