Job Summary

The Fabric Sourcing Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing fabric suppliers to ensure timely procurement of high-quality materials at competitive prices. The role involves supplier relationship management, cost negotiation, quality compliance, inventory coordination, and collaboration with design, merchandising, production, and quality teams to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

* Source fabrics from domestic and international suppliers based on quality, cost, lead time, and sustainability requirements.

* Develop and maintain strong relationships with mills, vendors, and fabric manufacturers.

* Negotiate pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and delivery schedules.

* Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular supplier audits and reviews.

* Collaborate with design and product development teams to identify suitable fabrics for seasonal collections.

* Ensure timely availability of fabrics to meet production schedules.

* Monitor fabric market trends, innovations, pricing fluctuations, and raw material availability.

* Coordinate fabric sampling, approvals, lab testing, and bulk production.

* Ensure compliance with company quality standards and sustainability requirements.

* Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and commercial disputes.

* Work closely with merchandising, planning, production, and logistics teams for smooth material flow.





* Maintain sourcing documentation, contracts, purchase orders, and supplier databases.

* Support cost-saving initiatives through value engineering and alternate sourcing strategies.

* Manage fabric consumption analysis and optimize procurement costs.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

* 5-10 years of experience in fabric sourcing or textile procurement within the apparel or textile industry.

* Strong understanding of woven, knitted, denim, technical, and sustainable fabrics.

* Experience working with domestic and international suppliers.

* Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, dyeing, finishing, and testing standards.

Job Types: Full time, Permanent

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
