About the Engagement We are looking for a sharp,
commercially minded strategist who can take fragmented data from
across India's retail and consumer ecosystem and synthesize it into
a coherent, forward-looking narrative. The final output will
directly inform how a global initiative designs its India market
strategy. What You'll Do You'll work closely with a global markets
specialist to define research questions, then independently produce
a multi-part strategic deliverable. The work covers seven thematic
areas: Demand-side dynamics and consumer behavior E-commerce and
retail channel evolution Digital infrastructure and connectivity
Demand generation and marketing shifts Rural vs. urban market
trajectories Income-based market segmentation Comparative FMCG case
studies Requirements Master's degree (or Bachelor's + 2 additional
years of experience) in business, economics, marketing,
econometrics, or a related field Minimum 7 years in market
research, strategy consulting, or business analysis within Indian
retail and consumer goods Solid demonstrated ability to synthesize
macro data, market reports, and sector analyses into structured,
insight-driven narratives Excellent written English and the ability
to produce data-rich, publication-quality reports Ability to work
independently in a remote setup with a globally distributed team
Competencies Strategic thinking — ability to see the big picture
and connect macro-trends to category-specific implications
Analytical rigor — comfort working with fragmented data sources and
constructing coherent trend lines Communication — clear, concise
