The Hospital Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe operation of all electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures within the hospital premises. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply and compliance with safety standards to support critical hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and hospital equipment.
- Monitor and maintain uninterrupted power supply, including generators, UPS, inverters, and backup systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and panels.
- Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, power failures, and emergency repair requests.
- Ensure safe installation and functioning of medical equipment, lifts, HVAC, and other hospital machinery.
- Maintain records of electrical repairs, maintenance schedules, and spare parts inventory.
- Adhere to hospital safety policies, electrical codes, and statutory regulations.
- Assist in energy conservation initiatives and electrical load management.
- Coordinate with biomedical engineers, maintenance staff, and vendors for technical support.
