Job Description

- Monthly Production and Material Planning: Establish explicit targets and timelines for production. Review current inventory levels and forecast material requirements based on projected sales and production schedules.
- Material Issues in Production: Regularly monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages. Implement a system for tracking material usage and wastage. Have contingency plans for unexpected supply chain disruptions.
- Scheduling Works to Contractors: Maintain a detailed schedule of contractor tasks and deadlines. Address any issues reported by contractors promptly to avoid delays.
- Machine Running Trials: Regularly test machinery to ensure they are functioning efficiently. Document results and address any issues immediately.
- Coordination with Customers: Maintain open lines of communication with customers. Resolve any site issues promptly and arrange for service engineers as needed.
- Production Scheduling:



Develop a comprehensive production schedule that balances workload across all machines. Coordinate with the Quality Control (Q.C.) department to ensure calibration schedules are met.
- Preventive Maintenance: Schedule regular preventive maintenance for all tooling and machinery. Work with the maintenance team to address any issues before they become major problems.
- Assembly Stage Modifications: Streamline assembly processes by making necessary alterations or modifications during the early stages.
- Work-in-Progress (WIP) Management: Monitor WIP to ensure efficient flow through the production process. Submit monthly shop stock figures to the stores for accurate inventory tracking.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Ensure constant communication and coordination between sales, Q.C., design, contractors, and clients.
- Reporting to Managing Director: Keep the Managing Director updated with regular reports on production activities, highlighting any issues and proposing solutions.
