Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Windows Server Administrator with 3+ years of hands-on experience in managing and maintaining Windows-based server environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Active Directory, server administration, and IT infrastructure. Exposure to networking and firewall concepts will be an added advantage. This role requires a proactive individual capable of ensuring system reliability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022).

Manage and support Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services.

Perform user account management, access control, and security configurations.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime and availability.

Install, configure, and upgrade Windows servers and enterprise applications.

Handle patch management and regular system updates.

Manage file servers, shared folders, and permissions.

Perform backup and recovery operations using enterprise tools.

Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Work with cloud-integrated environments including Azure Entra ID.

Provide L2/L3 support and handle escalations.

Maintain system documentation, configurations, and SOPs.

Collaborate with teams to improve infrastructure and security practices.

Required Skills & Technical Expertise:

Operating Systems:



Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022

Directory Services: Active Directory, Group Policy

Networking: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP fundamentals

Virtualization: VMware / Hyper-V

Security: Antivirus Management, Firewall Administration (Sophos/Fortinet), Data Backup & Recovery

Cloud: Azure Entra ID (Azure AD)

Backup Tools: Commvault or similar solutions

Tools & Platforms: RDP, SCCM, Intune (basic knowledge preferred)

Additional / Preferred Skills:

Basic understanding of firewall concepts and configurations (e.g., policy rules, port access, NAT).

Exposure to firewall technologies such as Sophos, Fortinet, or similar.

Awareness of network security best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field

Certifications (preferred):

MCSA / Microsoft Certified

Azure Administrator Associate

CCNA (added advantage)

Soft Skills:

Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking

Effective communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Comfortable working in quick-paced environments

Preferred Experience:

Experience in enterprise IT infrastructure environments

Exposure to virtualization and cloud platforms

Basic experience or familiarity with firewall/security tools is a plus
