Job Title: Quality Analyst Trainee

About the Role

We are looking for a detail -oriented and confident Quality Analyst Trainee to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a logical mindset, and strong communication skills who is eager to build a career in quality assurance and testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business/functional requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases

- Perform manual testing of applications/websites/software to identify bugs and inconsistencies

- Log, track, and report defects clearly using bug -tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)

- Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and verify fixes

- Participate in daily stand -ups, sprint planning, and review meetings

- Prepare and maintain test documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports)

- Perform regression testing to ensure new changes don't break existing functionality

- Continuously learn testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices


Required Skills

- Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

- Knowledge of manual testing concepts (test case design, bug life cycle, types of testing)

- Familiarity with bug -tracking/test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, or similar) is a plus

- Basic understanding of SQL for data validation

- Exposure to automation testing concepts (Selenium,



or similar) is an added advantage

- Strong analytical and problem -solving skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills — able to clearly document and explain defects, test results, and issues to technical and non -technical stakeholders

- High confidence in raising concerns, asking clarifying questions, and participating in team discussions

- Strong attention to detail and a quality -first mindset

- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take ownership of tasks

- Patience and persistence in finding and reporting issues


Educational Qualification

- B.Tech/B.E/BCA/MCA/B.Sc in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)


Good to Have

- Certification in software testing (ISTQB Foundation Level or similar)

- Personal projects or academic exposure to testing tools

- Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Java) for automation exposure

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology
