Department Overview
The Technology function within the Technology, Finance and Investment Admin department provides IT services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include the development and support of business applications that underpin our revenue, operational, compliance, finance, legal, and marketing and customer service functions. The broader organisation incorporates Infrastructure services that the firm relies on to operate on a day to day basis including data centre, networks, proximity services, security, voice, incident management and remediation.

Job Overview
The position is for an application support specialist in Record Keeping Support team.
Need highly motivated individual to work in Retail Administration System support team for supporting applications based on MS-SQL (Client Money AutoRek) but interfacing with other AAA applications / components like Sonata, GFAS, Informatica, Control-M, JDE etc. as well as systems of 3rd party associates and partners.
In order to provide support and services to customers, the successful candidate may be required to work UK or India business hours & provide On-call support outside the normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities
. Provide technical Support, complete ownership for problem diagnosis and resolution for SQL / Data Related Issues.
. Understand and write the SQL queries and stored procedures.
. Problem analysis and resolution - with a focus on Data analysis.
. Able to understand the cross technologies data flows and dependency.
. Good understanding of integration services (IIS), Pools,
. SSMS, SSRS and SSIS and able to understand and work with these.
. SQL Server Reporting Services Basics, Building, configuration and Installation.
. Understand and work through the SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Analysis Services
. Provide On-call 24X7 support and willing to work in shifts
Experience and Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
. 3-5 years overall experience within IT
. B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University.
. 2-6 years of relevant industry experience and at least 2 years in SQL Server Integration and Reporting Services.
. Proven record of achievements as a database developer using SQL Server for global applications with an understanding of internationalisation aspects.
. 3rd Party Products integration experience.
. Experience of complete project lifecycle execution from Requirements Analysis to Production Support.
. Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams.
.



Working knowledge of Informatica and Control M would be an additional advantage
. Expertise in stored procedures and database development in SQL Server 2008 and upgrade versions.
. Should know about SQL server integration, reporting and analysis Services.
. Experience in performance tuning
. Proficient with SQL Server profiler.
. Knowledge of indexes, Index management, How statistic work, How they can be created and managed effectively
. Well versed in
. Database design (Logical & Physical)
. SQL Server Database Development.
Desirable Qualifications:
. ITIL Certified.
. Experience & valuable understanding of standard support procedures.
. Experience in the use of a source control management system like SVN
. Previous experience of Production Support within a Financial Services environment
. Knowledge of Oracle, AS400 and Perl, Shell scripting is plus.
