VMC Machine Operator - Job Description

Department: Production

Reporting To: Production Supervisor

Job Location: Factory / Manufacturing Unit

Job Summary

Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines with Fanuc controllers, perform job setup, tool setting, program execution, inspection, and produce quality components as per engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate VMC machines
- Read engineering drawings
- Load/unload workpieces
- Perform job setup, fixture and tool setting
- Execute CNC programs
- Make offset corrections
- Conduct first-piece inspection
- Inspect finished components
- Replace cutting tools
- Maintain production records
- Follow production schedules
- Maintain 5S and safety

Qualifications

ITI (Machinist/Turner/Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Relevant VMC operating experience preferred.
