We are building a technology-driven supply chain ecosystem focused on procurement excellence, inventory efficiency, and superior service levels for retailers across India. As we continue to scale our operations, we are looking for a Procurement Operations Team Lead who can drive procurement execution, supplier coordination, inventory planning, and operational excellence across categories.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly organized and execution-focused Procurement Operations Team Lead to manage day-to-day procurement operations, supplier coordination, purchase order execution, inventory replenishment, and procurement process compliance. This role will work closely with

Category, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance, and Vendor teams to ensure product availability, procurement efficiency, and smooth operational execution. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in procurement operations, inventory management, vendor coordination, and team

management within FMCG, retail, e-commerce, distribution, or quick commerce environments.

Key Responsibilities

A. Procurement Operations Management

- Lead end-to-end procurement operations across assigned categories
- Ensure timely creation, release, and tracking of purchase orders
- Monitor procurement cycles to ensure product availability across all dark stores
- Drive adherence to procurement SOPs and operational processes
- Ensure procurement activities are executed accurately and within defined timelines
- Identify and resolve procurement bottlenecks impacting business operations

B. Inventory Planning & Replenishment

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment planning across locations
- Ensure optimal inventory availability while minimizing excess inventory
- Track stock-outs, ageing inventory, and inventory health metrics




- Coordinate closely with Supply Chain and Warehouse teamsto maintain inventory accuracy
- Support demand planning and forecasting initiatives
- Drive inventory efficiency and working capital optimization

C. Vendor Management & Coordination

- Manage day-to-day interactions with suppliers, distributors, and vendors
- Ensure timely order fulfillment and supplier SLA adherence
- Track vendor fill rates, lead times, and delivery performance
- Resolve supply-related issues and escalations proactively
- Support vendor onboarding and documentation processes
- Build strong supplier relationships to improve procurement efficiency

D. Team Management & Execution

- Lead and mentor Procurement Executives and Procurement Associates
- Allocate workloads and monitor team productivity
- Ensure timely completion of procurement activities and reporting
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions
- Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support hiring and training of procurement team members as the business scales

E. Data Analysis & Reporting

- Maintain procurement dashboards, trackers, and MIS reports
- Analyze procurement data to identify operational improvements and cost-saving opportunities
- Monitor key procurement KPIsincluding fill rates, lead times, inventory health, and supplier

performance

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement performance reports
- Provide actionable insights to leadership and category teams

F. Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Category, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Vendor teams
- Coordinate invoice verification and payment-related activities with Finance
- Support new category launches and assortment expansion initiatives

What We’re Looking For





- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or related

field

- 3–5 years of experience in Procurement Operations, Supply Chain, Inventory Management,

Purchasing, or Sourcing

- Experience leading small teams or managing procurement operations independently
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory, and supply chain processes
- Proficiency in MS Excel/ Google Sheets and procurement reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced, high-growth environment

Good to Have

- Experience in FMCG, Retail, E-commerce, Quick Commerce, Distribution, or Supply Chain

businesses

- Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement tools, and inventory management platforms
- Understanding of demand planning and replenishment processes
- Exposure to vendor negotiations and supplier performance management
- Experience working with multiple warehouses or dark store operations
