Job Title: Automation Control Engineer (Weld Automation)

Job Location: Gujarat/ Kharkhoda / Gurgaon / Manesar

Education Required: Diploma

Experience Required: 4 - 12 Years

Job Responsibilities:

- Design, development, and installation of automation systems in weld lines.
- Preparation of weld line specifications (PLC, HMI, electrical equipment specs & selection, CC link IE, Device net, Ethernet IP etc.)
- Procurement of Weld equipment (Robots, Servers, Systems, Control panels, IT assets etc. as per technical specification)
- Programming and troubleshooting of PLC system.
- Integration of sensors, actuators, and error-proofing systems like vision camera (preferred Cognex, Keyence & LMI) in weld automation line.
- Root cause analysis and resolution of controls related issues.
- Coordination with cross-functional teams for automation improvements and upgrades.
- Documentation of control logic, wiring diagrams, and system architecture.
- Validation of weld standards, Electrical drawings, PLC program, HMI screens during installation using various check sheets.
- Buyoff & inspection of weld lines and equipment at supplier end.
- Installation & commissioning of weld lines.
- Handover of weld lines to Production & maintenance teams.

Preparation of various procedures, standards of weld line s & equipment.





Competencies / Skills:

- Solid knowledge of industrial automation systems in BIW weld lines.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs (including safety PLC & function blocks) HMIs, SCADA, Servo and industrial communication protocols. (preferred Mitsubishi PLC system).
- Understanding of safety systems, interlocks, and standards in automation.
- Familiarity with weld quality monitoring systems and data acquisition.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and control panel layouts.
- Experience in cycle time optimization and line balancing.
- Basic know how of procurement-SAP ARIBA, ERP etc.
- Knowledge of interface for IT-OT (MES, OPC etc.)
- Understanding and configuration knowledge of industrial communication protocol like CC-link, CC-link IE, Devicenet, Ethernet and Ethernet IP.
- Basic know how of Robot Control Circuits, Signal IO interfacing and configuration of (Fanuc, Yaskawa, Kawasaki) for welding and material handling applications.

Preferred Organization:

- 4-wheeler OEMs with Weld Automation experience: KIA, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, VW, M&M;, Renault, Nissan, MG, TATA, Bajaj, Eicher, Force Motors, etc.
- Tier-1 automation solution providers or system integrators for OEMs.
