Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineer (HSE) to oversee and implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practices across electrical project sites. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory safety regulations, company HSE policies, client requirements, and industry best practices while promoting a zero-harm safety culture.

Key ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety & Environment (HSE)

- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, Electricity Rules, Factory Act, and client HSE requirements.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor safety performance.

Risk Assessment & Permit Management

- Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA).
- Review Method Statements and Safe Work Procedures (SWP).
- Ensure proper implementation of the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
- Monitor high-risk activities including:
- Electrical Work
- Work at Height
- Lifting Operations
- Excavation Activities
- Confined Space Entry
- Hot Work

Incident Investigation

- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain incident records and prepare investigation reports.

Training & Safety Awareness





- Conduct safety induction programs for employees and contractors.
- Organize toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and emergency drills.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and behavioral safety initiatives.

Compliance & Documentation

- Maintain HSE records, reports, and statutory documentation.
- Prepare monthly safety reports and KPI dashboards.
- Coordinate internal and external HSE audits.
- Ensure availability, inspection, and proper use of PPE and safety equipment.

Emergency Preparedness

- Develop emergency response plans.
- Conduct mock drills and emergency evacuation exercises.
- Coordinate with site teams during emergencies.

Eligibility CriteriaQualification

- B.E./B.Tech in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or Diploma in Engineering.
- Full time Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institute.

Experience

- 4–10 years of HSE experience in Electrical EPC, Power Distribution, Transmission Lines, Substations, Renewable Energy, Utility Projects, or Industrial Construction.
- Experience working on electrical project sites is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

- Strong knowledge of HIRA, PTW systems, incident investigation, and statutory safety compliance.
- Familiarity with OSHA, ISO 45001, and Indian safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage HSE activities independently across multiple project sites.
