Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support our Civil Construction Site Laboratory. The candidate will assist the Lab Technician/Quality Engineer in carrying out field and laboratory testing of construction materials such as concrete, cement, aggregates, soil, steel, and bitumen. The ideal candidate should be willing to work at project sites and maintain accurate testing records while following quality and safety standards. Construction site laboratories commonly support testing of concrete, soil, aggregates, and other materials to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in conducting laboratory and field tests on construction materials.
- Collect and prepare material samples from the construction site.
- Prepare concrete cube moulds, curing tanks, and testing equipment.
- Maintain laboratory registers, test reports, and sample records.
- Clean, calibrate,



and maintain laboratory equipment and tools.
- Assist in slump tests, cube casting, sieve analysis, soil testing, and aggregate testing.
- Monitor inventory of laboratory consumables and testing materials.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Lab Technicians.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.

Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Freshers with relevant laboratory knowledge are welcome to apply.
- 1–3 years of experience in a civil construction or infrastructure project laboratory is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic material testing procedures is an advantage.
