The role involves coding anesthesia procedures accurately according to ASA, CPT, ICD-10-CM, and payer guidelines, ensuring compliance and high-quality output. The ideal candidate should be technically sound, self-driven, and capable of supporting quality initiatives and mentoring junior coders when required.
Job Responsibilities
- Review and assign accurate CPT, ASA, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for anesthesia procedures.
- Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with CMS, ASA, and payer-specific guidelines.
- Perform self-audits and support internal quality reviews to maintain error-free submissions.
- Handle complex cases and provide feedback or clarifications to the team.
- Stay updated with coding and regulatory changes and apply them in daily work.
- Collaborate with QA and training teams to improve coding consistency and performance.
- Maintain productivity and accuracy standards in line with organizational expectations.
- Adhere to HIPAA and company data security policies.
