Qualification/ Eligibility

- Certification: CPC / COC / CCS (AAPC or AHIMA) – mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in medical coding, with at least 2 years in Anesthesia Coding.
- Strong knowledge of ASA guidelines, concurrency, modifiers, and time-based unit calculations.
- Good understanding of facility and skilled fee coding workflows.
- Proficiency in EHR and coding platforms (e.g., Epic, Meditech, Cerner).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Senior Coder – Anesthesia Coding to join our medical coding team. The role involves coding anesthesia procedures accurately according to ASA, CPT, ICD-10-CM, and payer guidelines, ensuring compliance and high-quality output. The ideal candidate should be technically sound, self-driven, and capable of supporting quality initiatives and mentoring junior coders when required.

Job Responsibilities





- Review and assign accurate CPT, ASA, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for anesthesia procedures.
- Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with CMS, ASA, and payer-specific guidelines.
- Perform self-audits and support internal quality reviews to maintain error-free submissions.
- Handle complex cases and provide feedback or clarifications to the team.
- Stay updated with coding and regulatory changes and apply them in daily work.
- Collaborate with QA and training teams to improve coding consistency and performance.
- Maintain productivity and accuracy standards in line with organizational expectations.
- Adhere to HIPAA and company data security policies.
