Assistant Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Maintenance Manager to support and manage maintenance operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance, team supervision, vendor coordination, and plant equipment maintenance while assisting the Maintenance Manager in ensuring smooth plant operations.

Preferred Industry: Cosmetics, Garments, Machine Manufacturing, Tools Manufacturing, or other Manufacturing Industries.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in planning and executing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure maximum machine uptime and minimize production downtime.
- Supervise and guide maintenance technicians and support the Maintenance Manager in daily operations.
- Prepare and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate machine installation, repairs, servicing, and annual maintenance activities.
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance services and spare parts procurement.
- Support maintenance budget planning and cost optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards,



statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure timely availability.
- Identify improvement opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
- Coordinate closely with production and other departments to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Requirements

- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing company.
- Candidates from Cosmetics, Garments, Machine Manufacturing, Tools Manufacturing, or similar Manufacturing Industries will be preferred.
- Robust knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Automation systems.
- Experience in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- Good leadership, troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills.
- Experience in vendor coordination and maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of CMMS will be an added advantage.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering.
