District Field Correspondent

Role Overview

We are looking for motivated and reliable District Field Correspondents to support our research and information-gathering efforts across Bihar. The role involves visiting locations within the assigned district, documenting important public developments, collecting photographs and videos, and sharing accurate, timely updates with the central team.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are well connected within their district, enjoy fieldwork, and have a strong understanding of local affairs.

Key Responsibilities

- Visit different locations within the assigned district to document significant local developments.
- Cover public meetings, government programmes, community events, and other noteworthy activities.
- Capture clear photographs and videos using a smartphone.
- Share timely and accurate updates with the central team.
- Identify and report significant civic and administrative issues affecting local communities.
- Coordinate with the research team regarding assignments and follow-ups.
- Develop and maintain a reliable network of local contacts.
- Verify information before submitting reports to ensure accuracy and credibility.





Required Skills

- Good understanding of local governance, administration, and current affairs.
- Strong communication skills in Hindi. Knowledge of English is an added advantage.
- Ability to capture high-quality photos and videos using a smartphone.
- Familiarity with the assigned district and willingness to travel within it.
- Responsible, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently and meet reporting timelines.
- Own a smartphone with reliable internet connectivity.

Preferred Qualifications

- Graduate or final-year students may apply.
- Prior experience in fieldwork, research, media, journalism, or community engagement is preferred but not mandatory.
