About the Role

We are looking for a committed and field-savvy Field Coordinator to support the implementation of the Bio village 2.0 project in Tripura. This role is crucial to delivering climate-resilient development on the ground, including renewable energy installations, ecological restoration, and livelihood generation. The ideal candidate has experience working with rural communities, is organized, adaptable, and driven by purpose.

You will be the connecting link between communities, local government departments, and the implementation team—ensuring timely, effective, and community-owned delivery of all Bio village components.

Key Responsibilities

1. Field Implementation & Technical Support

- Coordinate the setup and delivery of key components, including but not limited to: solar pumps, biogas units, beekeeping boxes, biotech kits, and other project components. Support field demonstrations in eco-friendly farming, vermiculture, and water conservation. Monitor project installations and provide on-ground troubleshooting when needed.

2. Community Mobilization & Training

- Mobilize local participants, especially women, for training and awareness sessions on agriculture, climate resilience, and energy-saving technologies.
- Facilitate community ownership through participatory planning and inclusive implementation.
- Work closely with Self Help Groups (SHGs), youth, and farmers to build climate-adaptive livelihoods.

3. Liaison & Coordination

- Coordinate with government departments, especially the Directorate of Biotechnology, for smooth delivery and oversight.

- Support the planning of field visits, training sessions, and government inspections.
- Maintain healthy communication between the community and the project team.

4. Monitoring, Data Collection & Reporting

- Collect field data related to installations, training sessions, and beneficiary impact.
- Maintain updated records and prepare timely progress reports.
- Support evaluation processes through field documentation and community feedback.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Agriculture, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of field-level experience preferred; motivated freshers with demonstrated grassroots exposure are also encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience working with rural or tribal communities in Tripura or the North-East region.
- Proficient in local languages (Kokborok and/or Bengali), with working knowledge of Hindi or English.
- Comfortable using smartphones, Google Forms, and basic MS Office tools.

Additional Qualities We Value

- Robust interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Adaptability to rural field settings and irregular schedules.
- Passion for climate action, community development, and ecological restoration.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative on the ground.

Why Join Us?

- Meaningful Impact: Be part of a nationally recognized model addressing climate change and rural livelihoods.
- Growth & Learning: Gain hands-on experience in renewable energy, climate adaptation, and community-based development.
- Recognition: Contribute to a project featured in Mann Ki Baat, the NITI Aayog Best Practices Portal, and national award platforms.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
