Job Description – Purchase Executive

We are looking for a Purchase Executive with 2–5 years of experience and qualification in Diploma in Mechanical / BE Mechanical / B. Tech Mechanical.
The person will be responsible for buying materials and equipment needed for our company. They must select good suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of materials.

They should understand mechanical parts and technical specifications, work with the production/engineering team, prepare Purchase Orders (PO), maintain records, and follow up with vendors.

This role requires good communication, negotiation skills, and computer knowledge (Excel/ERP).

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Source and purchase materials, equipment, and services as per company requirements.
- Evaluate vendors based on price, quality, service, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO), follow up for order confirmations and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best cost and payment terms.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, pricing data, and vendor database.
- Coordinate with the production/engineering teams to understand material specifications.
- Track inventory levels and support timely replenishment of stock.




- Resolve issues related to material shortages, delays, or quality.
- Follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery and collect necessary documents (invoice, delivery challan, test certificates, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement guidelines.
- Assist in developing long-term supplier relationships and annual rate contracts.

Skills Required:

- Strong knowledge of mechanical components, engineering materials, and technical specifications.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Vendor management and sourcing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle or similar).
- Ability to multitask and work under tight timelines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
