- Manage the overall functioning of the nursing department.
- Prepare duty rosters and staffing schedules.
- Ensure adequate nurse-to-patient ratios.
- Coordinate with doctors, departments, and hospital management.
2. Patient Care Management
- Ensure nursing care follows hospital policies and clinical protocols.
- Monitor the quality of patient care and patient safety practices.
- Handle critical nursing issues and escalations.
- Conduct regular ward rounds and audits.
3. Staff Supervision
- Supervise Nursing Supervisors, Ward In-charges, and Staff Nurses.
- Guide and support nursing teams in clinical practice.
- Evaluate staff performance and conduct appraisals.
- Maintain discipline and skilled behaviour among nursing staff.
4. Training and Development
- Identify training needs for nurses.
- Organise orientation programmes for new nurses.
- Conduct continuing nursing education (CNE) and skill development sessions.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and emergency procedures.

Quality and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to NABH / JCI / hospital accreditation standards.
- Monitor infection control practices.
- Maintain nursing records, reports, and documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
6. Resource Management
- Monitor the availability of medicines, consumables, and nursing equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance and replacement of equipment.
- Control departmental expenses and optimise resource utilisation.
7. Communication and Coordination
- Act as a link between management, doctors, nurses, patients, and attendants.
- Address patient and family complaints related to nursing services.
- Participate in hospital committees such as infection control, quality, safety, and ethics committees.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
