POS System Administration:
- Install, configure, and update POS systems
- Hardware – Barcode scanner, Printer, EDC terminals, Etc
- Software – POS software across all retails location at Ample
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access levels.
- Ensure POS systems are secure and compliant with company policies.
Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support to end -users for POS -related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems promptly.
- Liaise with vendors for advanced troubleshooting and repairs.
- Perform regular system checks and backups.
- Monitor system performance and ensure uptime.
- Implement software updates, patches, and enhancements.
Training and Documentation:
- Train staff on the proper use of POS systems and peripherals.
- Create and maintain user guides and technical documentation.
- Reporting and Data Management:
- Generate and analyse sales and inventory reports from the POS system.
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry and reconciliation.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the finance, operations, and IT teams to align POS capabilities with business needs.
- Provide input on system upgrades and recommend process improvements.
- Vendor and Asset Management:
- Coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of POS hardware and software.
- Maintain an inventory of POS -related assets.
Requirements
- Robust knowledge of hardware components like printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, etc.
- Basic networking knowledge (Wi -Fi, LAN, etc.).
- Familiarity with operating systems like Windows or Linux.
- Analytical and problem -solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in retail or hospitality environments.
- Understanding of PCI compliance and data security.
- Certification in relevant POS systems or IT support is a plus.
