Responsibilities
Design, develop, manufacture, and repair high-precision progressive tools, dies, and injection molds.
Ensure proper maintenance and timely refurbishment of tools to maximize tool life.
Troubleshoot tooling issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
Provide continuous tooling support to ensure zero downtime in press shop operations.
Coordinate with production teams to meet output and quality targets.
Supervise CNC, EDM, wire-cut, and conventional machining operations.
Ensure tooling is manufactured within required tolerances and specifications.
Monitor machining processes and implement improvements for efficiency.
Ensure tools produce components as per customer specifications (dimensional accuracy and conductivity).
Conduct regular inspections and maintain quality standards.
Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues.
Manage tool inventory and ensure availability of critical materials and spares.
Handle procurement of raw materials such as die steel.
Optimize tooling costs through effective planning and process improvements.
Lead, train, and mentor tool room staff and toolmakers.
Ensure adherence to safety practices and maintenance procedures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in tooling and processes.
