Position: Asst. Manager – Demand Planning

Location: Ahmedabad

Experience: 6 - 7 Year

Industries: Cosmetics

Responsibilities:
Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
Analyze product and key ingredients demand in order to develop purchase forecasts by week, month, and quarter at Global/Regional/Unit level.
Validation of forecasts from group companies and ensuring statistically vetted forecast goes into system.
Maintenance of all active SKU lists for finished goods and components, liaising with the factories to track availabilities of these goods.
Reviewing ordering MOQ issues in alignment with purchase.
Ensure all current product availability is made on time in order to have timely launches.
Work with IT team to stream line the Demand Planning Process and bring in more efficiency in the system.
Identification of slow moving/non-moving inventories along the supply chain and take this up with the group companies for liquidation.
Generating MIS reports pertaining to Service Level/Sales Analysis.
Active planning for Current Product launches and follow-up for repeat orders.




To support and execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stockholdings.
Develops metrics to monitor inventory levels through regular reviews.
Forecasts with market trends and fluctuations; offers recommendations for changes and improvements.
Close coordination with Customers to enhance sales and avoid sales loss.

Required Skills:
Proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
Strong Technical knowledge related to forecasting & demand planning.
The incumbent should be very good at Excel.
Should be well versed with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards (Oracle).
Able to deal with large data sets and determine patterns and trends.
Must have very solid analytical skills.
Should have strong written and verbal English language skills.

Required Qualification: - Any Graduate
