Overall Purpose of The Job

The Team Leader is responsible for managing a team; ensuring team members deliver performance that meets or exceeds the required performance levels in terms of quality and efficiency, will act as the first-line people manager, overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to current enquiries, monitor ongoing projects, data governance policies, driving process standardization, and delivering high-quality and safe work practice aligned with business SLAs. Serves as a point of escalation for issues and drives issues to resolution; generates ideas for and participates in process improvement opportunities and team members development. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and governance of SeaTec business functions.





Key Responsibilities and Tasks

- Direct supervision and provide leadership to his/ her team on day-to-day responsibilities.
- To be a subject matter expert, provide guidance to the team and external stake holders.
- Actively engage with subcontractors.
- Motivate team to achieve highest level of quality, efficiency and meet or exceed all goals.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement.
- Enable accurate service delivery with highest level of quality and timely ensuring compliance, approval verification and quality control review.
- Timely monitor and manage reporting of all performance indicators specific to his/her team.
- Facilitate timely issue resolution, including escalation in accordance with governance structure.
- Work with department manager to ensure that the department is meeting or exceeding performance levels.
- Work with department manager to carry out business development activities.
- Identify and present solutions for process improvements.
- Provide internal and external audit support, as required.
- Foster communication and teamwork within and across organizational boundaries.
- Develop skill sets of team members to be ready for future opportunities.
- Conduct performance reviews, track individual/team KPIs, and identify training needs.




- Identify and Retain top talent in the team and provide platform for growth.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and standardization across the department.
- Ensure effective documentation of processes, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Provide regular reporting and insights on data quality, issue trends, and operational performance to department manager.
- Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the line manager.

Essential

- University Graduate With Mechanical / Marine / Electrical & Electronics background.
- 7 + years of Domain Expertise Ship Repairs / Navigation / Automation / Underwater services
- Must have at least 2 years of people management experience
- Ability to manage a diverse group of skill sets in a delivery center environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to portray professionalism and confidence to customers/stakeholders via phone and e-mail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and handle large volume of work efficiently and accurately.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
- Demonstrate high ethical standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite for reporting and documentation
