Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Merchandiser to manage fabric sourcing, supplier coordination, procurement, and production follow-up for our Home Textile division. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of textile materials, vendor management, and merchandising processes, with the ability to coordinate effectively across sourcing, production, and procurement functions to ensure timely execution of customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

· Source fabrics, trims, accessories, and textile packaging materials from reliable suppliers and vendors.

· Develop, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with domestic suppliers and business partners.

· Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely availability of fabrics, trims, accessories, and packaging materials.

· Follow up with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of materials as per production schedules.

· Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers while maintaining long-term business relationships.

· Coordinate with Merchandising, Product Development, Production, Planning, and Quality teams to ensure smooth order execution.

· Monitor material availability and proactively resolve supply-related issues to avoid production delays.

· Prepare purchase follow-up reports, vendor performance reports, presentations, and procurement documentation.

· Maintain accurate records of supplier quotations, purchase status, approvals, and sourcing documentation.

· Identify new suppliers and sourcing opportunities to improve quality, cost competitiveness, and supply reliability.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing, procurement, and vendor management.

Qualification

· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering,



Fashion Technology, Apparel Manufacturing, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

Experience

· 6+ years of experience in Textile Merchandising, Fabric Sourcing, Procurement, or Vendor Management, preferably in the Home Textile or Textile Export Industry.

· Experience in sourcing fabrics, trims, accessories, and packaging materials is highly preferred.

Required Skills

· Strong knowledge of home textiles, fabrics, garment construction, textile packaging, trims, and accessories.

· Good understanding of fabric sourcing, procurement processes, and supplier management.

· Excellent vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.

· Robust follow-up, planning, and coordination abilities.

· Good understanding of production planning and material requirement management.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

· Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.

· Fluency in Hindi and English is mandatory. Knowledge of Tamil will be an added advantage.

· Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple sourcing activities independently.
