We are looking for a Senior BigCommerce Catalyst Developer to lead the development of customer-facing storefronts across multiple brand websites. The role focuses on BigCommerce Catalyst, front-end architecture, performance optimization, accessibility, SEO, and scalable component development while mentoring developers and owning end-to-end storefront releases.
Key Responsibilities
Lead front-end development using BigCommerce Catalyst (Next.js, React, GraphQL Storefront API).
Own the shared component library, design system, and theme architecture across brand sites.
Define and maintain performance budgets for Core Web Vitals including LCP and INP.
Integrate BigCommerce Catalyst with B2B Edition portal workflows including Companies,
Sales Reps, Quotes, and Buyer Approvals.
Integrate Algolia search and Hygraph CMS into storefront applications.
Mentor mid-level BigCommerce developers and conduct code reviews.
Improve TypeScript standards, accessibility, testing, and development practices.
Work with QA to implement Playwright/Cypress test coverage.
Serve as the technical expert for BigCommerce APIs, webhooks, scripts, storefronts, and channels.
Own releases from development through deployment and production monitoring.
