Indirect Tax Compliance & Filing
GST Return Preparation: Compile, review, and file monthly and annual Goods and Services Tax returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C.
Input Tax Credit (ITC) Management: Oversee the end-to-end ITC reconciliation framework. Regularly reconcile GSTR-2B/2A with the purchase ledger, flagging discrepancies to procurement and vendors to prevent leakages.
Challan & Payments: Calculate monthly tax liabilities (net of ITC utilization) and ensure the timely generation of challans and payment of taxes.
Refund Claims: Draft, file, and track GST refund applications (e.g., refunds on account of exports under LUT or inverted duty structure).
EOU Operations
EOU: Maintain statutory registers and documentation required for Export Oriented Units (EOU) and Special Economic Zones (SEZ).
Capex & Import Monitoring: Track and maintain records of the next 5-year imported capex spends, ensuring compliance with the procurement targets and conditions required for EOU renewal processes.
Financial Analysis & Ledger Reconciliation
Record-to-Report (R2R) Alignment: Ensure that indirect tax sub-ledgers perfectly match the main General Ledger (GL) during the monthly financial close.




Accounting Entries: Prepare and pass accurate journal entries for tax provisions, adjustments, reversals, and duty payments.
Audit Support & Litigation
Statutory & Tax Audits: Act as a key point of contact for external statutory auditors, internal auditors, and GST auditors by providing clean tax schedulers and reconciliations.
Departmental Notices: Support the tax manager in preparing data, drafts, and technical submissions in response to notices, assessments, or scrutiny from the indirect tax authorities.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
Financial Statement Review: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Performance Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual financial results and budgeted or forecasted figures.
Management Reporting: Create detailed reports for management, highlighting key trends, performance metrics, and potential risks or prospects.
Period-End Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
