Role & responsibilities
Scheduling and co-ordination for repair & maintenance of all shipboard electrical machinery/equipment/automation.
Planning timely electrical spares/stores
Monitoring optimum electrical and electronic equipment performances.
Trouble tracing and trouble shooting in electrical and electronic systems onboard.
Co-ordination with vessel superintendent for budgeting, procurement and expenses.
Annual Budget preparation and expenses monitoring
Maintaining vessel wise records and MIS for management review
Co-ordinate with technical/IT teams for setting up of software/communication system onboard.
Co-ordination with OEMs for technical updates and troubleshooting activities.
Co-ordination with vessel superintendent for all vessel related technical & maintenance activities of electrical and electronic systems.
Vessel In-charge for Electrical and Electronic equipment.
Performance and troubleshooting of electrical/electronic equipment operation.
Upkeep of electrical and electronic equipment of the vessel, as part of preventive maintenance
No unplanned downtime
Ensure that electrical/electronic systems of vessels are well maintained for performance.
Management of Guarantee / Warranty of electrical equipment
Vessels is seaworthy at all times, as far as electrical and electronics systems are concerned.
Control maintenance expenses
Preferred candidate profile
Graduate Electrical/Electronics engineer (Preferably Electrical Officer with sailing experience)
Proficiency and training for electrical and electronics for shipboard automation.
Positive understanding of shipboard electrical and automation systems
Minimum 5 years of marine experience in as electrical officer Computer literate
