The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all import, export, and international trade activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. The role supports global business operations by managing trade compliance processes, mitigating regulatory risks, and ensuring adherence to customs and export control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with global import/export regulations, customs laws, sanctions, and trade policies.
Review and classify products using Harmonized System (HS) codes and Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN).
Conduct restricted party screening and denied party checks.
Support import and export documentation preparation and review.
Monitor changes in trade regulations and communicate their impact to stakeholders.
Perform trade compliance audits and risk assessments.
Investigate and resolve trade compliance issues and regulatory inquiries.
Maintain accurate records to meet regulatory retention requirements.
Provide trade compliance training and guidance to internal teams.
