Job Descritpion of SAP MDG Consultant

10+ Years Relevant Experience

We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Technical Consultant with solid expertise in SAP S/4HANA Master Data Governance. The role involves leading technical design, configuration, and implementation of MDG solutions, ensuring data quality, governance, and integration with enterprise systems. You will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical resources to deliver end-to-end solutions in both implementation and support projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the technical implementation of SAP MDG in SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Gather requirements, design technical solutions, and obtain customer sign-off.
- Configure, customize, and integrate SAP MDG with SAP ERP, S/4HANA, and other systems.
- Design and implement data governance policies, validation rules, approval workflows, and security measures.
- Handle Level 2 and Level 3 incident resolution for MDG-related issues.
- Create and maintain enterprise-level MDG architecture documentation.
- Work with multiple stakeholders in a multi-vendor environment to define and deliver MDG solutions.
- Conduct workshops, develop training materials, and support end-user adoption.
- Apply Agile and Waterfall methodologies where appropriate.




- Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and standard change management procedures.
- Stay updated on SAP MDG releases, enhancements, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP MDG implementation projects and 2 SAP MDG support projects.
- Solid technical knowledge of SAP MDG, master data management concepts, and data governance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP NetWeaver.
- Proficient in designing enterprise-level MDG architecture and integrations.
- Skilled in incident, problem, change, and SLA management.
- Familiarity with security policies, compliance, and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in multi-vendor, customer-facing environments.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and ITIL methodologies.
- SAP MDG certification preferred.
