Role & responsibilities
Coordination/follow up of assigned suppliers as 1st level contact point from SCM
Receipt planning of components form assigned suppliers as per production plan
Vendor supply performance evaluation against schedule & plan correctiveactions.
Anticipating likely bottlenecks w.r.t. production & resolving or escalating them to avoid production impact
Capacity planning in line with volume ramp up
Inventory management & optimization in line with business target
Maintaining buffer stocks as per defined norms
Obsolete material periodic salvage and disposal
Supporting for documentation of vendors to avoid payment delays
Ensuring rotation of material handling
Logistics cost optimization
Internally coordinate for vendor quality improvements and capacity improvement activities
Engineering change management





Preferred candidate profile
Valuable knowledge exposure in dealing with Aluminium/ SG Iron CI castings and Forgings and machined components gears & shaft/ Electrial / NPD/ PRojects.
Well acquainted with related major vendor base
Good in influential communication- written, Oral
Well versed with Inventory management tools
Hands on with SAP MM module
Strong customer orientation & focus on result
Working abilities in teams with solid internal external stake holder management
Ability to handle pressure situations and manage changing requirements
Analytical skills
Good anticipation & quick response
