Studio Underground is a film and media production company empanelled with NFDC and multiple DIPR departments across Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana.

We specialize in producing high-impact films and campaigns for State and Central Government initiatives, including the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023 and G20 events hosted in Uttarakhand.

With a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, we collaborate closely with government bodies to deliver creative, large-scale productions.

Position Overview

The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling recorded/raw footage into polished final outputs that align with project objectives, creative vision, and delivery timelines. This role requires a deep understanding of narrative pacing, visual storytelling, sound design, and post-production workflows. The ideal candidate should be able to work across multiple formats including documentaries, government films, promotional videos, social media campaigns and branded content.

Key Responsibilities

- Video Editing & Post-Production

- Edit raw footage into engaging, high-quality final videos

- Create compelling edits for documentaries, ad films, corporate films, digital campaigns, and social media content

- Structure narratives with robust pacing, flow, and emotional impact

- Assemble rough cuts and final cuts as per project Requirements

- Creative Storytelling

- Translate scripts, concepts, and creative briefs into impactful visual storytelling

- Collaborate with directors and creative teams to execute the intended vision

- Suggest creative enhancements to improve narrative effectiveness

Requirements

- Synchronize footage, dialogues, voiceovers, and music





- Add sound effects, transitions, graphics, and motion elements where required

- Perform basic color correction and visual enhancement

- Ensure clean audio balancing and overall production polish

- Collaboration & Feedback Implementation

- Work closely with directors, scriptwriters, cinematographers, and production teams

- Incorporate internal and client feedback efficiently

- Participate in creative discussions and post-production planning

Project Management

- Organize project files, timelines, and backup footage systematically

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

- Maintain version control for revisions and final deliveries

Quality

Control

- Ensure all outputs meet Studio Underground’s creative and technical quality standards

- Review final edits for continuity, accuracy, visual consistency, and storytelling clarity

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Film Editing, Mass Communication, Multimedia, or related field (preferred)

- 1–5 years of professional video editing experience

- Technical Skills

Proficiency in:

- Adobe Photoshop

- Adobe After Effects

- DaVinci Resolve (preferred)

- Adobe Premiere Pro

Additional knowledge of:

- Color grading workflows

- Audio editing and sound design

- Motion graphics, infographic design and basic animation

- File codecs, export settings, and delivery optimization

Preferred Qualities

- Passion for cinematic storytelling

- Understanding of documentary editing style

- Creative thinking with technical precision

- Ability to independently manage edit workflows
