Description

The Product Line Lead Pricing at Level 5A will play a strategic role in owning and driving the product roadmap and delivery for key technology initiatives at Hapag-Lloyd Technology Center. The role demands a blend of strong technical acumen, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. The candidate will lead a team of Product Managers and Requirement Engineers to develop the Hapag-Lloyd pricing Eco-System.

The ideal candidate brings 10–15 years of experience, demonstrating ownership of product vision, heartbeat planning, stakeholder alignment, and successful execution of end-to-end product deliveries in a global environment. This role requires an ability to work across teams, align product outcomes with business goals, and coach teams toward continuous delivery and excellence.

Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

- Define and own the product roadmap and product vision aligned with organizational goals.

- Drive prioritization through heartbeat planning, value-based delivery, and agile execution.

- Act as the voice of the customer and ensure continuous alignment with business stakeholders.

- Develop products in collaboration with Product Managers and Business Product Owners

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, architecture, business, and leadership teams in Chennai and Hamburg.

- Take part in regular reviews and feedback sessions with stakeholders for different products.

- Ensure timely, transparent communication and expectation management across all levels.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Product Delivery & Planning

- Drive and track product heartbeat cycles, team capacity planning, and delivery timelines.

- Instil the tracking of quality, timely delivery of features, enhancements, and fixes with a continuous improvement mindset in your products.

- Oversee FIS3 application development and integration with enterprise systems.

Team & People Management

- Manage and mentor product managers and requirement engineers to deliver on product goals.

- Handle resource planning, team health, and performance tracking.

- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and coaching.

Work Experience:

- Experience in requirements engineering and agile environments

- Experience in business process modeling

- Experience leading product teams

- Strong analytical and communication skills

- Fluent in English

Technical Skills

- Understanding of Macro/micro software architecture is preferred
