Structural Design Engineer STAAD.Pro (Eurocode) | ERSS | Steel Structures
Responsibilities
Design and analyze temporary steel structures using STAAD.Pro.
Perform ERSS (Excavation Retaining & Support System) design including sheet piles, soldier piles, diaphragm walls, struts, walers, anchors and bracing systems.
Design temporary working platforms, falsework, formwork, and shoring systems for construction projects.
Design and analyze steel structures in accordance with Eurocode (EN 1993).
Perform foundation design and coordinate with geotechnical requirements.
Carry out oil & gas pipe support and pipe rack structural design.
Prepare structural calculations, design reports, and engineering documentation.
Review design loads including Dead, Live, Wind, Seismic, Construction and Equipment loads.
Ensure compliance with European Standards (Eurocodes) and relevant project specifications.
Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, and construction teams throughout project execution.
Optimize designs for safety, constructability,
and cost efficiency.
Review shop drawings and provide technical support during fabrication and construction.
Required Skills
Robust experience in STAAD.Pro.
Experience with Eurocode (EN 1990, EN 1991, EN 1992, EN 1993, EN 1997, EN 1998).
Experience in ERSS, shoring, temporary platform, falsework, and steel structure design.
Knowledge of foundation engineering and geotechnical principles.
Experience in oil & gas structural/pipe support design.
Familiarity with ETABS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel (knowledge of PLAXIS/SAP2000 is an advantage).
Ability to prepare calculation reports and independently deliver structural designs.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
3–10+ years of relevant structural design experience.
Experience working on international projects using European Standards.
