Role & responsibilities * Operate conventional and/or CNC lathe machines for machining brass components.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Set up machines and select appropriate cutting tools and machine parameters.
Perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, and boring operations.
Monitor machine performance and ensure accurate dimensions and surface finish.
Conduct routine machine inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work setting.
Report machine issues and production concerns to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
ITI (Turner/Machinist/Fitter) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Higher Secondary (12th)
may also be considered with relevant experience.
Experience
15 years* of experience as a Lathe Machine Operator in a manufacturing industry.
Experience in Brass Manufacturing* will be preferred.
