Job Summary:
The candidate will lead the tool service and maintenance team for stamping/press components, focusing on optimizing die performance, reducing downtime, and ensuring the longevity of high-precision progressive dies.
Key Responsibilities:
Tool Maintenance & Servicing: Lead the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of progressive dies and press tools, ensuring minimum breakdown.
Process Improvement: Drive improvements in tool design, die life, and stamping processes to enhance productivity and quality.
Team Leadership: Supervise the tool room team, fostering a culture of safety and precision maintenance.
Performance Monitoring: Track tool performance metrics, such as strokes per grind and maintenance cost reduction.
Quality Compliance: Ensure all press tools meet ISO and client-specific quality standards for auto components.
Required Candidate Profile:
Qualification: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Tool Engineering.
Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of tool room machinery (wire-cut, EDM, grinding), die design interpretation, and tool steels.
Experience: 10+ years in troubleshooting progressive press tools, specifically in high-volume production settings.
