Roles & Responsibilities
Analyzing market trends, customer behavior to anticipate fabric demands and identify textile mills or handlooms for fabric development.
Understanding customer requirements and helping them to obtain the right fabrics at the right price.
Managing the production time and action plan, coordinating with mills and ensure timely completion of orders.
Oversee quality control checks on incoming fabrics and samples, ensuring they meet specified standards for durability, design specifications, lab dips (color samples) and color fastness.
Manage and visit the dedicated list of mills for keeping updated on the latest fabric trends, material and technologies.
Collaborate with various mills about printing, dying and count construction of the fabrics.




Mentor merchandisers and guide them on merchandising practices.

Key Skills
In-depth technical knowledge of textiles.
Proficiency in costing, order management and negotiations.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a quick-paced setting and meeting the deadlines.

Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Textile Engineering / Technology, Fashion Designing/Diploma in Apparel Merchandising / Handloom Technology/ BBA, B.A, B.Com, B.Com (H) or related field.
7–12 years.
